ワールド・ベースボール・クラシック２次ラウンド、オランダ対キューバの一戦。大接戦の末、オランダが７-６の１点差で劇的なサヨナラ勝ちをおさめ、アメリカで行われる本戦の出場権を獲得しました。
敗れたキューバは優勝候補の最右翼であったにもかかわらず、無念の敗退。キューバ本国もさぞかし衝撃を受けていることでしょう。
実力は世界ナンバー１と、自他共に認める野球王国だったんですからね。意外な結果と思いきや、実はそうでもなかったんですよね。これまでオランダはキューバに対して５連勝になるんだそうです。
日本はパワーのあるキューバを苦手としていますが、オランダは、パワーでは、キューバに引けをとりませんからね。
真っ向勝負で堂々の勝利というところです。でも、びっくりです。 |
